
Simon is a Senior Identity & Access Management Architect with more than 20 years' experience across government and enterprise, specialising in Microsoft-centric IAM and security architecture.
He has led identity strategy, target-state design, and complex transformations spanning Entra ID, hybrid Active Directory, Azure, Microsoft 365, and integrations with SAP and major SaaS platforms.
Simon brings hands-on technical depth together with executive-facing advisory experience, from Essential Eight and NIST-aligned security uplifts to large-scale Okta-to-Entra migrations and whole-of-government IAM architectures.
He has led multi-stream identity transformations for Queensland Education, architected the IAM strategy for the NSW Whole-of-Government ERP 2.0 program, and delivered Essential Eight-aligned MFA reporting across more than one million identities.
Prior to joining Identifly, Simon led the Identity & Security practice at an Australian Cyber Consultancy and held senior architecture and leadership roles across NSW Government, the Fair Work Ombudsman, and the Department of Employment, Education and Workplace Relations.
Simon holds multiple Microsoft certifications across identity, security, and compliance, and is passionate about building secure, scalable, and governable identity platforms that align technology with business outcomes.
In his spare time, Simon enjoys going to the beach, day trips away, spending time with family and friends and his children.
He also loves music, going to concerts, sports (NRL, EPL and AFL) and going to the gym.
